MORE ADVANCED SKI RACING
The Diana Golden Series is the entry level of ski racing for people with disabilities. If a disabled ski racer is interested in going to more challenging competitions, Level 2 races (sometimes called NorAms) are the next step. The schedule of level 2 races is listed here: http://www.dsusa.org/calendars-winter-12.html. If a racer does well at this level, their next goal is the US Disabled Ski Team. The US team is selected every spring based on points from Level 2 races and Nationals. If a racer is selected to be on the team, then the international competitions the quest for the Paralympic medals begins. The Paralympics international competitions held every four years immediately following the Olympics at the Olympic venue.
